How It Works
When you choose Writeo as your outsourced copywriting partner, you can expect a seamless, hassle-free process.
Here's how it works:
1. Consultation (a chat)
We'll start by discussing your clients' copywriting needs and how I can help meet them.
I'll ask questions to understand your client’s target audience, brand tone of voice, and messaging, and find answers pertaining to the piece I’ll be writing.
I can also go directly to the client if you prefer me to, or I can work with predetermined frameworks you already have in place.
2. Proposal (quote)
Based on our consultation, I'll provide a quote that outlines my recommended copywriting services for your clients. This will include turnaround times and pricing information, as well as a timeline for moving forward.
Generally, I’ll get a quote over within a day of our consultation, or on the same day. Basically, it’ll be once I have a full understanding of what your client needs.
3. Collaborate (and listen!)
Any MC Hammer fans out there? No? Shame on you.
Once you approve the proposal, I'll get cracking. When the content is at a standard that I’m happy with, I’ll fire some initial drafts back over to you.
If there’s anything you’d like me to change, I’ll get onto that right away. We can repeat this process until the content is exactly what you're looking for, but it rarely takes more than one or two revisions, if any.
4. Delivery
When the content is complete and we’re both happy with it, I'll deliver it to you in the format of your choice, ready to be shared with your clients.
I'm also happy to provide ongoing support to ensure that the copy is performing as expected, and I can also send content directly to your client if you’d like.

Frequently Asked Questions For Copywriters.
Let’s jump in with some of the questions digital agency clients have asked me in the past.
How much do copywriters charge?
I don’t know about anyone else, but my hourly rate is £30, and I work pretty quickly. I promise, I’m worth whatever I charge, and I won’t make your eyes water when my quote comes in.
I also provide a full rundown of my costs and give you an accurate timescale in advance, so you know exactly what you’re getting into.
What are your turnaround times?
I can get pretty much anything done in a week or two max. A blog, a small(ish) website, a landing page, I usually aim for a week or slightly over a week from full sign-off of the brief to completion.
For larger projects, of course, this may be longer, but if I have to work overtime or weekends to hit my deadline, I have no issue with that. For smaller pieces and tighter deadlines, I can probably get something sorted, too.
How do payments work?
I give you a quote, you accept it, I do the work, I send you an invoice. You pay the invoice within 30 days and the job’s a good ‘en.
No contract is required unless it’s a massive job, and even then, probably not. I work on a trust-based system and if you’re a digital agency worth your salt, you’ll obviously pay my invoice.
Will you write a free sample?
No. This isn’t Boots or the Duty-Free, man! I’ll give you previous examples of work, but me whipping up some random piece of content for free serves nobody.
What information do you need to get started?
It all depends on the job, but I’ll ask questions based on the project I’m working on. It changes for every client, but it makes everyone’s jobs easier.
I’ve been let down by freelancers in the past.
Not a question, but I get it. I have too, and I’ve been let down by big businesses in big ways.
But me, I’m sound. I’m a normal person writing words for a living. Ask any of my clients and they’ll all tell you the same thing. You have nothing to worry about.
What if I don’t like the first draft?
I’ll kick off! Nah, not really, I’ll just ask why and revisit.
I’ll keep doing this until you’re happy, which in my experience, has never been more than a couple of times max.
Some clients are trickier than others, but I’ve never been in a situation where I’ve had to rewrite something over and over until the whole project has been abandoned. Never happened, never will.
What’s your cat called?
Phoebe! She’s sound. We got her during lockdown, so she is very much like a puppy, except much more agile and a bit harder with the claws and stuff.
Offering Copywriting As An Upsell.
If you have clients that you’ve done any kind of marketing work for, copywriting is a fantastic upsell.
From adding a monthly blog to updating key landing pages on their website, you can even boost their website traffic with devoted SEO pages.
The possibilities are massive, and since I’m a one-man band with minimal overheads, there’ll be plenty of room to add a little something on to my costs to your clients.
This is a win/win/win and something I have no problem with. You earn some additional income, your clients earn some fantastic copy and more website visitors/clicks, and I get regular work coming in. Lovely.
