The Benefits of A Regular Blog
Welcome back to the Writeo blog! I know, it’s been a while, and for that I whole-heartedly apologise. But not to worry because I’m back now and I’m here to stay! Probably.
Anyway, I’m back for one reason and one reason only, and that is to try and sell my blog-writing service. Only joking. Well, I do want you to buy blogs from me, but not just because I want to earn more money so I can travel the world.
It’s also because there are lots of benefits of having a regular blog for your business and this is the case across pretty much all industries.
So, let’s get our swimming bloggles (sorry) on and jump straight in to the pool of fun that is this blog, where I’ll explain some of the benefits of a regular blog and why you should employ me, a fantastic blog writer, to write them for you.
Blogs Make Money
I knew that would catch your attention.
Blogs are a sure-fire way to drive traffic to your website, and if people are searching for whatever led them to your blog page, they’re probably going to be interested in what you sell.
This means that you’ve not only provided the world with a brilliant bit of blog work, but you’re also cramming people straight into your sales-funnel.
You’re basically a fisherman, mate.
You put that lure (or bait, whatever) into the vast ocean of the internet, and you wait. Sometimes you wait days, sometimes it’s weeks, sometimes it’s months, but soon enough, you’ll need a new fishing rod and potentially a new boat to handle the sheer volume of new leads and enquiries you have to deal with.
While I’m exaggerating for an unfulfilled comedy effect, it’s true that blogs are a sure-fire way to make your business money. You attract the attention of a captive, relevant audience of readers, most of whom are often leads just waiting to be converted into sales.
SEO-O-O-O-O-O
By the way, that heading should be sang like George Ezra’s “Cassy O’”. You can also do it with Writeo if you’re like me and enjoy that kind of thing.
Anyway, SEO is one of those things that people either love or hate. Digital agencies love it because they can make loads of money from it, and business owners hate it because it can cost loads of money to get right.
It’s also one of those things that’s genuinely important when it comes to your digital presence, and something that can once again, make you lots of money.
A regular blog establishes your website authority with Google which means the Google overlords are more likely to trust your business. This means that they’re more likely to grant you those elusive high-rankings and as we all know, the higher you rank on Google, the more people see your website.
Then, it’s a simple case of nudging these potential customers to your sales pages, which you can do through lovely CTAs (calls to action, you noob) and internal linking. Throw this into the mix with relevant keywords and making sure you write about relevant industry topics, and you’re on your way to winning the often monotonous game that is SEO.
Keep People In the Loop
Social media is brilliant for keeping customers in the loop, but for news that warrants a bit more than a post, a blog is ideal.
A regular blog gives you the flexibility to connect with your customers by sharing what you’re doing and how excited you are to be doing it. It also gives you the chance to show off that diamond personality that’s got you this far in life.
Blogs that go into the nitty-gritty of owning a business, show people steps of your journey, or list the benefits of your services, are all brilliant ways to engage and speak about your business and products.
Starting a blog can also be a great way of commenting on industry trends that might have caught your eye, putting your own opinion out there and letting your personality stand out.
What You Talkin’ Bout, Business?
There are loads of people online pretending to be gurus about things they know little about.
Some of those digital agencies who offer you SEO might tick this box, others include Herbalife enthusiasts, epidemiologist experts on Facebook, Boris Johnson, and whoever sends those weird texts pretending to be a random celebrity asking for money.
And while this might be annoying if you actually do know what you’re talking about, you can combat it by getting in on the blog action and showing them how it’s done.
Showing you’re an expert in your industry gives customers confidence in your brand. This leads to more trust in your business, which in turn leads to more sales and enquiries.
This is down to the fact that as we move through the often tumultuous times of the 21st century, more and more people feel like they need to trust a brand before sticking their hands in their pockets and making a purchase.
Internal Links, You Dinks
SEO, as we’ve established, is important, and one of the core aspects of a high-performing website is strong internal and external linking. Let’s abandon words for a minute and break it down with some maths that definitely isn’t actually how you do maths, but helps make my point.
More relevant links = higher ranking = higher traffic = more enquiries and sales.
As well as internal links being great from an SEO perspective, you can also link to other blog posts and specific products you want to shout about. This puts you in control of your customer’s website journey rather than relying on them to find their way to your best products.
Reach New Audiences and a 🎵 Whole New World 🎵
A well-written, poignant, regular blog for your business is an excellent way to get discovered on various social media platforms. It gives Twitterers, LinkedIners, and Facebookers the opportunity to share your content which means more exposure for your business and a wholeeee newwww worlddddd of potential customers.
It also helps you with social media content ideas, giving you something a bit more interesting to post rather than inserting your business name into Squid Game memes all day.
Use An Expert Blog Writer, Though
Lots of businesses like tackling blogs themselves, but in my not at all biased opinion, it’s always better to use a copywriter. Somebody who writes industry-specific blogs for all kinds of businesses on a daily basis, and somebody who can do the same for you.
It’s me. I’m somebody. (not the cat)
